September 18, 2024 – Mid-Summer Moon Productions is bringing Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical to the Decatur Civic Center stage September 20-22.
This family-friendly tale features a talented ensemble of performers of all ages from Argenta, Oreana, Clinton, Decatur, and other surrounding communities. Matilda the Musical is a story about a young girl with extraordinary powers who defies expectations and stands up for what is right. Join Matilda on her journey as she navigates a world of bullies, a tyrannical headmistress, and a loving teacher who believes in her.
Performances for Matilda the Musical will be on September 20 at 7 p.m., September 21 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and September 22 at 2 p.m. The Saturday matinee will include a special post-show talkback with the cast, providing a unique opportunity for the audience to learn more about the production and interact with the performers.
