September 29, 2024 – HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital will hold a Blessing of Animals ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 3 at the St. Mary’s Hospital Cancer Center at 5:30 p.m.
The blessing of animals honors St. Francis of Assisi, widely known as the patron saint of animals and the environment.
Fr. Amal Roche will perform the blessing and dog treats will be provided by local pet shop, Millie and Bo’s Barkery.
All animals in attendance must be on a leash and pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
