August 4, 2024 – Time is running out for residents interested in running for Decatur City Council to submit their petitions.
Petitions for people interested in running for the Decatur City Council are available in the office of the City Clerk. Three City Council seats will be up for election in 2025, currently held by Councilmen Ed Culp, David Horn, and Chuck Kuhle.
Petitions must contain the signatures of 45 registered voters and council candidates must be United States citizens, registered voters, age 18 or older and must reside within the city limits for one year preceding the election. Packets can also be downloaded HERE.
Nominating petitions may be filed in the office of the City Clerk during office hours until Monday, October 28, 2024.
