November 6, 2024 – Decatur Earthmover Credit Union is accepting applications for this year’s Decatur Christmas Parade.
The parade will be held on December 7th. The lineup will begin at 2:30 pm, with step-off beginning at 4 pm right after the Fleet Feet Santa Run, which will begin at 3:30pm. The parade will move west on North Street and then head south on Main, with the parade finishing on Main and Macon Streets.
The fee is $25 for all parade entries. Checks should be made payable to Earthmover Credit Union. All proceeds will go to Dove Inc.
To enter a float, download this form, fill it out and return it with your registration fee by mail to Decatur Earthmover Credit Union, Attn Christmas Parade, PO Box 2515, Decatur, IL 62525. Registrations are due no later than November 27th.
There will be a $500 Cash Prize for the Best Float.
The goal of your unit should be to entertain kids with the spirit of Christmas. With that said, music is great! But, lights are better, so they will require your unit to have at least 100 Christmas lights. In addition, Santa will make it, so please refrain from using any other Santa in your unit.
