Park District to hold 50th Annual Turkey Trot November 23rd

November 20, 2024 – The Decatur Park District will host the 50th annual Turkey Trot on November 23rd in Fairview Park.

Participants can run in a 5K, 10K or a new half marathon run option. There is also the   1/2-mile Turkey Tot Trot in Fairview Park for ages 12 and under.

5K, 10K, and Half Marathon races include computerized results and 3-deep awards per age group.

Tot Trot (Ages 12 & under) includes a T-shirt and participation prizes.

Race Check-In: 7:30 – 8:15 a.m.

Just a reminder that West Fairview Park Drive, South and West of McClellan will be closed during the race, but neighborhood residents will still have access. Dreamland Lake Drive and Monument Hill Drive will both be closed, blocking access into the park from Oakcrest, Summit, and Park Place.  All parking in Fairview Park will be closed for handicap parking beginning at 8 a.m. – race finish. Racers and Volunteers are permitted to park in Kirkland Fine Arts Center and Westminster Presbyterian Church.
