December 4, 2024 – Thanks to a grant from The Heart of Illinois Community Foundation and Deacatur Earthmover Credit Union, in partnership with the Decatur Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, downtown Decatur has a new Christmas installment.
The lighted ornament arch, located in Central Park, was unveiled Wednesday prior to the Christmas walk, as a gift from The Heart of Illinois Community Foundation, Deacatur Earthmover Credit Union and the DACVB.
The arch, which is in the shape of an oranment contains thousands of lights and is the perfect spot for holiday photos. The ornament is located on the west side of the park facing Prairie Street.
