December 11, 2024 – View the Geminid Meteor Shower at Friends Creek Conservation Area on Saturday, December 13 from 9pm to 11pm. The Geminid Meteor Shower is the strongest meteor shower of the year. These meteors originate near the constellation Gemini, and are usually bright and colorful. If conditions are right, you could be in for a dazzling show.
Enjoy hot chocolate and marshmallows for making toasty s’mores. Dress warm and bring a lawn chair and/or blanket to sit on, as there is no seating available in the viewing area. This event is $3/person and for all ages, and you must pre-register online by noon on December 12 at MaconCountyConservation.org.
