December 15, 2024 – Macon County CASA has announced an expansion into neighboing Christian and Moulrtie counties, along with a name change to Heartland CASA.
Macon County CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. Volunteers serve as advocates for children in foster care that are moving through the court system. With the growth into Christian and Moultrie counties, Heartland CASA will now be able to extend this sevice to more children and families.
“The decision to rebrand as Heartland CASA reflects the organization’s commitment to a more extensive area of service and highlights its dedication to being a consistent source of hope and advocacy throughout the region. The new name embodies the organization’s core values of compassion, resilience, and community unity. By expanding our services into Christian and Moultrie counties, we are embracing the oppo tunity to bring our advocacy to even more children and families,” said Blaine Smith, Executive Director of Hea tland CASA.
“We believe that eve y child deserves a voice, and this expansion allows us to reach more children who need our help, creating a brighter future for them.”
