January 1, 2025 – Starting today, Decatur residents will see an increase in garbage rates.
The Decatur City Council approved a 4% rate increase to garbage rates last year.
According to the City, basic service of one tote will be $27.82 a month, up from $26.75. Expanded service, which includes two totes, will be $39,26 a month, up from $37.75 a month.
