January 12, 2025 – The Decatur Park District is hoping to fill a number of positions during their hiring fair on February 21st.
The Park District is looking for both part-time and summer positions. According to Executive Director Clay Gerhard, they are hoping to fill around 500positions. Many of those positions could be hired on the spot.
Positions will be open for Splash Cove, Overlook Adventure Park, Over the Top Ice Cream Shop, The Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater, Scovill Zoo, Decatur Indoor Sports Center, Park Maintenance, Horticulture, Rotary Park, Summer Day Camp, Hickory Point Banquet, Red Tail Run Golf Club and Hickory Point Golf Club pro shops and ground crew, and performing arts tech staff.
The hiring fair will be held at the Decatur Indoor Sports Center at 1295 W. Wood Street from 3-6 pm Friday, February 21st.
