Impact Life holding blood drives to fill the need

January 27, 2025 – Impact Life, the primary blood component provider for DMH Memorial Hospital and HSHS St. Marys, are holding a number of blood drives in the coming weeks.

Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 with parental permission form available through www.bloodcenter.org) and weigh more than 110 pounds. A photo I.D. is required to donate. For questions about eligibility, please call ImpactLife at (800) 747-5401. Blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about 45 minutes to one hour. Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure may be accepted as eligible donors.

Decatur Memorial Hospital: will host a community blood drive Tuesday, February 4th from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm in Classroom C, 2300 North Edward Street, Decatur, IL. To donate, please contact Julie Floyd at (217) 876-5018 or visit www.bloodcenter.org and use code 60703 to locate the drive.

Village of Mt Zion will host a community Blood Drive on Monday, February 10th from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Mt. Zion Community Mt. Zion Christian Church Fellowship Hall at 1125 Florian Avenue.
