In her nomination, she was described as someone who is not just any Kindergarten teacher- her spirit and soul were made to connect with parents and kids during this crucial year of growth. There are so many things that make her extraordinary. She has a knack for looking at situations and intuitively understanding what/why is happening and how best to move forward. Her ideas in the classroom are a mixture of best practices- the most forward-thinking of new ways and holding space for those timeless, old-school methods that preserve basic creativity and room for kids to be kids.
