March 5, 2025 – The public is invited to attend a candidates forum sponsored by the non-partisan group, CONO (Coalition of Neighborhood Organizations) on Saturday, March 8, 2025.
The forum will begin at 1pm in the second-floor auditorium of the Decatur Public Library, 130 North Franklin Street. Light refreshments will be served.
“Our goal is to inform voters on the stance of the candidates about local issues. These office holders decide our tax bills and so much more. We also want to see as many people as possible vote,” says CONO President Kathy Williams.
CONO has received commitments from each of the city council candidates and the Decatur Public Schools candidates. The forum will be divided into two segments. At 1pm the candidates for Decatur City Council will take the floor and will be asked questions provided by the audience to the moderator. Each candidate will answer the same question. At 2pm, the Decatur Public School board candidates will take the floor.
