
March 26, 2025 – Impact Life, the primary blood component provider for DMH Memorial Hospital and HSHS St. Marys, are holding a number of blood drives in the coming weeks.
Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 with parental permission form available through www.bloodcenter.org) and weigh more than 110 pounds. A photo I.D. is required to donate. For questions about eligibility, please call ImpactLife at (800) 747-5401. Blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about 45 minutes to one hour. Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure may be accepted as eligible donors.
Mt. Zion Community Blood Drive will host a community blood drive April 7th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at 720 W Main Street, inside Mt. Zion Baptist Church in the Coffee Shop/Foyer. All presenting donors will receive a gift card, bonus points to the rewards store, or a donation to the charity of their choice. Sangamon Valley High School will host a community blood drive on April 11th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at 398 N. Illinois St., inside Gym. All presenting donors will receive a gift card, bonus points to the rewards store, or a donation to a charity of their choice.
