April 9, 2024 –Richland Community College is celebrating Community College Month throughout April with the theme “Best Decision Ever,” emphasizing its commitment to student success, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Throughout the month, Richland will highlight stories from students, faculty, and staff, focusing on educational access, personal transformation, and community impact. Features will include student achievements, innovative programming, and the efforts of dedicated faculty and staff to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
The month-long celebration follows Richland’s recent recognition of Women’s History Month, highlighted by the second annual Lisa Marie Stanley Women’s History Month Luncheon. Richland continues its work to improve enrollment and retention among underrepresented groups through scholarships, mentorships, and support services aimed at removing barriers to higher education.
