April 20, 2025 – Applications are now open for 2025 scholarships awarded through the Decatur Memorial Foundation and Decatur Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. The deadline to apply is May 2.
Scholarships are available to high school seniors and undergraduates pursuing careers in healthcare or agriculture at two- or four-year colleges.
The Decatur Memorial Foundation Agriculture Science Scholarship offers two $5,000 awards for students entering agricultural fields. The Decatur Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Healthcare Support Professionals Scholarship awards three $5,000 scholarships for those pursuing support roles in healthcare such as nursing, radiologic technology, laboratory work, pharmacy tech, or phlebotomy.
The Dr. Richard H. Fritz Nursing Scholarship provides one $5,000 scholarship for students pursuing a nursing degree. The Dr. Thomas W. Samuels Nursing Scholarship awards one $2,500 scholarship to a nursing student, including those enrolled at Richland Community College.
