Free Screening of “A Sound of Hope” in Decatur to Raise Awareness for Child Advocacy

April 23, 2025 – Macon County CASA and Revival Culture Church will host a free community screening of the film “A Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot” on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. The event will be held at Revival Culture Church in Decatur, Illinois, and is open to the public.

The event is part of a broader effort to raise awareness during Child Abuse Prevention Month and will include informational tables highlighting the work of local child welfare organizations and advocacy groups in Decatur and Macon County. Attendees can also enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages, hear from guest speakers, and watch the screening of the inspirational film.

The event is designed to build community support and increase understanding of efforts being made to protect and advocate for children in the region.

Macon County CASA is hosting the event in partnership with Bikers Against Child Abuse (Abe Lincoln Chapter), Life Foursquare Church, and Revival Culture Church.
