May 4, 2025 – The Macon County Conservation Foundation will host the 5th Annual Rock Springs Ramble 5K to support natural areas and wildlife on May 17th.

The event will include a 5K, 1-Mile Fun Run or Walk, and Kids’ Fun Run, as well as a virtual option for both the 5K and the 1-Mile.

This fundraiser supports the Macon County Conservation Foundation: a non-profit organization that funds natural area restoration and educational programs at the Macon County Conservation District and Rock Springs Nature Center. All proceeds support natural areas and wildlife in Macon County, Illinois.

Those registered for the 5K will receive a finisher’s medal and a t-shirt. Hand-painted wildlife rocks (created by local artist Sheryl Polley) will be awarded to top three 5K finishers in each age group, and the top ten in the 1-Mile. Children registered for the Kids’ Fun Run will receive a tree cookie medal. All registrants are also invited to stay for a post-race pizza lunch.

Registration is $35 for the in-person and the virtual 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk, $65 for the Rock Springs Ramble Challenge, and $10 for the Kids’ Fun Run. Online and race day registration available.

Register online at RunSignup.com/RockSpringsRamble by noon on Thursday, May 15 or on MaconCountyConservationFoundation.org.
