April 29, 2025 – The Dan Diskey Real Men Wear Pink campaign will host its 4th annual Strike Out Cancer co-ed softball tournament. The event will take place on Saturday, May 10th at Rotary Park in Decatur. The purpose of this event is to raise funds for the American Cancer Society to support the fight against breast cancer.
Each softball team to register is guaranteed to play at least two games. The registration fee is $350 per team.
Diskey, who is entering his sixth Real Men Wear Pink campaign, has raised over $123,000 since 2020, including an incredible $33,907 in 2024 alone. This year’s fundraising goal is $25,000, and every dollar raised through the tournament will help fund breast cancer research, awareness, and patient support.
“Everyone has a story with breast cancer,” said Dan Diskey, campaign chair. “Until every story is a victory, I’ll continue to fight. This tournament is one way we rally together to support the women in our lives and make a real impact.”
The family friendly tournament will feature various games and activities throughout the day beginning at 9am. Team registration is $350, with a 2-game guarantee. Attendees can enjoy a full day of softball, plus raffle prizes, 50/50 drawings, and concessions—all benefiting the campaign.
