April 30, 2025 – In 2024, God’s Shelter of Love provided shelter andsupport to 138 women and 22 children experiencing homelessness. As demand for emergency services grows, the shelter is inviting women in the community to join a new effort to provide safety, stability, and spiritual refuge for those in crisis.
“For better or worse, the shelter is always full,” said Dan Watkins, Executive Director of God’s Shelter of Love. “And while we’re honored to meet the need, we know it’s not slowing down. That’s why we’re launching a new opportunity for women to come alongside women—month after month—with help and hope.”
God’s Shelter of Love is launching the Matthew 25 Circle, a monthly giving community inspired by the words of Matthew 25:35—“I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was a stranger and you invited me in.”
With a monthly gift of $49, Founding Members provide a full night of shelter, meals, case support, and spiritual care for one woman in need. Members also receive a limited-edition enamel pin and exclusive updates on the lives being changed.
“The Matthew 25 Circle is more than a monthly gift—it’s a reflection of Christ’s love lived out in real, tangible ways,” said God’s Shelter of Love Director Dan Watkins. “We’re inviting women to join something sacred and strong—a movement of compassion and connection.”
Enrollment is now open for a limited number of Founding Members. To join the Circle or learn more, visit HERE.
