Caterpillar celebrates graduates of program creating pathway from high school to full time careers

May 9, 2025 – Caterpillar celebrated graduates Friday of their latest cohort of the Caterpillar Career Pathways program. Career Pathways is a 12-month program that provides high school seniors with the opportunity to experience a job in manufacturing and help jump-start their careers, offering an alternative to college.

Thirteen students graduated from the program Friday. Caterpillar has worked with DPS61 over the past 7 years and has been able to expand the program to additional schools in the county.

Graduates include:

  • Jahmill Beasley – Eisenhower High School
  • Nate Binkley – Maroa Forsyth High School
  • Carter Book – Okay Valley High School
  • Jayden Brady – Eisenhower High School
  • Terrel Cazares – Argenta Oreana High School
  • Luis Cruz – St Teresa High School
  • Jayden Drake – MacArthur High School
  • A’quan Jackson – Eisenhower High School
  • Dalton Landstorm – Clinton High School
  • Tyson Oros – Argenta Oreana High School
  • Caeden Shugart – Argenta Oreana High School
  • Addison Stonecipher- Taylorville High School
  • Braden Vangeison – Maroa Forsyth High School
The 12-month Caterpillar Career Pathways program is designed to provide high school seniors with an opportunity to build their work skills in preparation for a long-term manufacturing trades career at Caterpillar. The students will participated in a multi-phase program that includes both technical and nontechnical skills needed for full-time employment in the welding & manufacturing trades field upon high school graduation.
Seven students from this Career Pathways Cohort have been offered full time positions at Caterpillar upon their graduation this month.
