June 9, 2025 – Ameren Illinois is hosting an open house on Thursday, June 12 in Decatur to share the company’s plans on what the company says will improve energy service reliability and prepare for an equitable transition to clean energy.
The public forum will provide the general public with an opportunity to hear first-hand from Ameren Illinois leaders about the company’s plans and offer feedback ahead of Ameren’s Integrated Grid Plan filing with the Illinois Commerce Commission in January.
The open house will be held at the Decatur Club from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the Presentation to begin at 6:00 p.m.
Under Illinois’ Climate and Equitable Jobs Act, a state law passed in 2021 that seeks to transition Illinois to 100% clean energy by 2045, Ameren Illinois is required to file a multi-year plan to strengthen the reliability and resiliency of the electric grid and prepare for an equitable transition to clean energy.
