June 18, 2025 – Mid-Summer Moon Productions has announced open auditions for its fall production, Disney’s My Son Pinocchio: Gepetto’s Musical Tale from 6 to 9 p.m. on June 25 and June 26 at the Whitmore Oreana Community Center, 407 S. View Street in Oreana. June 30 is reserved for callbacks. All ages are welcome to audition. There are adult, child, and teen roles available.
Actors should prepare a 30-second or 16-measure vocal audition in a musical theatre genre, a one-minute memorized monologue or poem, and wear comfortable clothing and shoes for the choreography portion. No pianist will be available at auditions, but actors may use recorded accompaniment or sing a cappella.
Disney’s My Son Pinocchio: Gepetto’s Musical Tale is a beautiful retelling of the classic from Gepetto’s perspective. The musical features the beloved songs, “When You Wish Upon a Star” and “I’ve Got No Strings,” with additional numbers from Oscar and Grammy-winning composer Stephen Schwartz.
