July 17, 2025 –The Decatur Regional Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its 14-week Decatur Leadership Institute starting in August and is taking applications for this year’s class.
The program helps students to gain an inside view of the industries and issues shaping our region. The Decatur Leadership Institute (DLI) is a community-wide effort, facilitated by the Decatur Regional Chamber of Commerce. The Decatur Leadership Institute is a program designed to prepare individuals for high-quality citizen leadership.
Program participants will attend 15 sessions over the course of 14 weeks, typically on Thursday mornings, where they experience on-site learning and gain an inside view of the industries and issues that shape our region. The program also entails group-based service learning projects and concludes with a project presentations and graduation ceremony.
Cost is $750.00 for members or $950 non-members. The registration fee includes, the 15 week program, orientation and team building session with dinner, lunch and transportation to and from Springfield State Capitol (Legislative Session), and two (2) tickets to the project presentations and graduation ceremony.
