August 3, 2025 – The Decatur Park District, along with Councilwoman Consuelo Cruz, former Macon County Sheriff Tony Brown and Land of Lincoln Credit Union are holding two community events to promote literacy.
On August 9th, partners will install free little libraries at Hess Park and Mueller Park and hold community activities to celebrate.
The event at Hess park will take place from 1 to 2pm and the event at Mueller Park will take place from 4-5pm. Activities will include refreshments, face painting and a bounce house, as well as the unveiling of the new free little libraries.
