August 14, 2024- The 44th Annual Pony Express Days is underway, August 14 through Sunday, August 17, 2025.
For more than four decades, Pony Express Days has featured a weekend packed with live entertainment, food, and activities for all ages. This year’s celebration promises all the classics — plus a few special ways to show support for local families.
Friday: “Live Like Jack” Night
Friday will be dedicated to remembering Jack Brinkoetter with Live Like Jack Day, honoring his life and spirit. Attendees are encouraged to show support by wearing red Friday evening. Jacks graduating class and his family will be treated with Carnival wristbands for the night, courtesy of local businesses and organizations and many local individuals.
Saturday: Wear Blue for Charlie
On Saturday, August 16, organizers invite everyone to wear blue in support of Charlie Spurlock and his family.
Events and Entertainment
The weekend will feature a carnival running all four days, with Armband Nights on Thursday and Friday offering unlimited rides. Local vendors will be on hand with food, crafts, and games.
Adrenaline seekers can head to the Mud Drags, where trucks, ATVs, and side-by-sides tear through the mud, or watch the Mt. Zion Odd Fellows Mud Volleyball Tournament — a fan favorite that keeps competition high and spirits even higher.
