August 21, 2025 – The winner of the 2025 Heartland CASA Playhouse Raffle has been announced and, instead of keeping the prize, the winner donated the playhouse to a local foster family.
Presented by Brinkoetter Realtors, MetroDecatur HomeBuilders Association, Lowe’s, JDM Custom Construction, and Prairie Built Barns, this year’s raffle featured a lineup of backyard essentials, including a self-propelled battery-powered mower, a Pit Boss smoker, a Blackstone grill, Adirondack chairs, a fire pit, and the grand finale prize—a custom-built 8×10 garden shed designed as the ultimate Backyard Oasis.
Heartland CASA announced this year’s playhouse winner, Lauren Connelly, chose to donate the backyard oasis playhouse to a local foster family.
“We are overwhelmed by the support and heart shown by our community,” said Heartland CASA Marketing and Development Manager Shyler Kraus. “Every ticket purchased, every prize donated, and every act of kindness brings us closer to ensuring every child in foster care has a voice and a champion.”
