Decatur Pride Fest to be held this weekend in Fairview Park to celebrate the LGTBQ+ community

September 10, 2025 – Decatur will host its annual Pride celebration in the park this year with a full day of family-friendly activities, entertainment, and resources.

The event, which will be held Saturday September 13th from 11am to 6pm, will feature carnival games for families, face painting by Sally the Clown, and a Pride Pet Show. Returning favorites include Drag Story Time and a Drag Show open to all ages, showcasing artistic performances designed to entertain and engage the community.

Entertainment throughout the day will be provided by Spin Masters DJ and Entertainment Services, along with live performances, including a local singing competition, “The Voice of Decatur.” A Talent Show for all ages will also give attendees the opportunity to showcase lip syncs, poetry, and other talents.

Food trucks, including Bistro-to-Go and T.K.-N-Kay’s Street Eatz, will serve a variety of meals, while Blessings & More Bakery LLC and KLC Creations LLC will offer desserts. Attendees can also browse vendor booths featuring a range of products and participate in a raffle with prizes provided by generous donors.

The event will include informational and resource booths from organizations such as churches, CASA, BabyTALK, Fifth Street Renaissance, Decatur Public Library, Rainbow Youth Circle, and FREE MOM HUGS Illinois. A mobile testing station will also provide free HIV and STI testing.

Organizers emphasize that the event is designed to create a safe and welcoming environment for guests of all ages, families, allies, and the LGBTQ+ community.
