October 3, 2025 -Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has once again put his support behind the WSOY Community Food Drive, making a personal donation of $50,000.

This marks the fifth time Pritzker has given to the effort—previously donating in 2019, 2020, and 2021 before the drive’s three-year hiatus, and again in 2024. His continued generosity underscores both his personal commitment to fighting hunger and the importance of the food drive to families across Macon County.

The WSOY Community Food Drive benefits more than 20 food pantries and programs that provide meals to thousands of local residents. Organizers say gifts like the Governor’s will help meet the growing need as food costs rise and federal programs are cut.

Pritzker, who is currently running for a third term as Governor, said his donation reflects the vital role community partnerships play in ensuring no Illinois family goes hungry.
