October 12, 2025-Theatre 7 has announced its 2025–26 season of performances, offering a range of theatrical entertainment that includes main-stage productions, special events, and opportunities for community involvement.
Founded in 1963, Theatre 7 is a volunteer-based community theatre organization in Decatur, IL, open to participants interested in performing or working behind the scenes.
Presented at the Decatur Civic Center Theater and included in the season ticket package:
- The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 — October 25–26, 31 & November 1–2
A fast-paced farce featuring secret passageways, eccentric characters, and a string of comedic murders.
- Sister Act — May 23–24, 30–31 & June 1
A musical comedy about a nightclub singer placed in witness protection at a convent, complete with disco flair and uplifting themes.

- The Rocky Horror Picture Show — October 24 at The Hall at 520
A cult classic screening with live shadow cast and interactive audience participation.
- It’s a Wonderful Radio Show — December 13–14 at Decatur Area Arts Council
A holiday-themed radio-style play based on the classic film, performed by five actors playing dozens of roles.
- Serving Up Love — February 13–15 at The Hall at 520
A dinner cabaret event combining food, romance, and musical entertainment.
Theatre 7 offers several support tiers for those interested in contributing to the organization:

- Friend – $75 (includes 3 tickets)
- Patron – $150 (includes 6 tickets)
- Actor – $225 (includes 6 tickets)
- Stage Manager – $325 (includes 6 tickets)
- Director – $500 (includes 6 tickets)
- Producer – $1,000 (includes 10 tickets)
