October 14, 2025-Millikin University’s Kirkland Fine Arts Center will host a rare theatrical event on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 2 p.m., when “Hollywood Revisited” takes the stage for a one-time performance blending classic film, live music, and original Hollywood costumes.
The production is the creation of Greg Schreiner, a 1970 Millikin alumnus and one of the country’s leading collectors of original Hollywood costumes. In this musical revue, Broadway-caliber performers will recreate iconic scenes from classic films, wearing authentic costumes once donned by stars such as Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli, and Marilyn Monroe.
As the actors perform, film clips from the original movies will play in the background, immersing the audience in the atmosphere of old Hollywood. A special meet-and-greet with the cast will take place in the lobby immediately following the matinee.
Additional event features include:
- Pre-show entertainment by Theatre 7 in the Kirkland lobby
- A Friends of Kirkland reception after the show, with cast members expected to attend
- A live piano duet during the performance by Schreiner and Dr. Kimm Hollis, Millikin alumnus ’72 and sponsor of the Hollis Prize for Millikin’s School of Music, in tribute to their former professors
Tickets are available now at millikin.universitytickets.com Or by calling the Kirkland Ticket Office at 217-424-6318.
