November 12, 2025 – Crossing Healthcare is making it easier for Macon County residents to get care when they need it most with the launch of Rapid Care, a new walk-in clinic now open at 575 West Hay Street on the Decatur Memorial Hospital campus.
Rapid Care provides prompt attention for non-emergency illnesses and injuries for everyday health concerns such as:
• Common illnesses including coughs, colds, fevers, earaches, and skin rashes
• Minor injuries like sprains, strains, cuts, and infections
• STI testing and treatment
• Pregnancy testing
• Other non-emergency concerns
“Rapid Care is about meeting people where they are, with care that’s quick, accessible, and built around real-life needs,” said Julie Brilley, Interim CEO of Crossing Healthcare. “By adding new access points for same-day care, we’re helping patients receive timely attention and improving the overall flow of care across Macon County.”
Hours are Monday – Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
Crossing also has a “Convenient Care”, a general walk-in care for adults and families open Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on the Crossing Healthcare’s campus as well as “Crossing Kids – Convenient Care,” Macon County’s only pediatric walk-in clinic on Crossing Healthcare’s campus.
