November 20, 2025- The Governor Richard J. Oglesby Mansion and Museum will hold its November open house on Sunday, November 30, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The mansion is located at 421 West William Street in the Millikin Heights historic district. A donation of $5 per adult and $2 per child is requested for entry.
Visitors will be able to tour the historic home, take photographs inside, and learn from volunteer docents who are current and former members of the mansion’s board of directors. The event will also feature Christmas décor throughout the home.
The museum recently added two original Oglesby family artifacts to its collection: a top hat belonging to Governor Oglesby and a travel steamer trunk belonging to Mrs. Oglesby. Both items are now on display for the public.
