November 23, 2025 -The Decatur Public Library will host a free children’s holiday event titled “Guess Who’s Coming to Town?” on Wednesday, December 3 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the Children’s Floor at 130 N. Franklin St.
The program invites children to drop in at any time during the designated period to participate in holiday-themed crafts, games and browse a selection of seasonal books, music and DVDs. From 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., special guests Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive and visit with attendees.
The event coincides with the downtown holiday festivities of the Downtown Decatur Christmas Walk, running from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the same evening. The funding for the children’s event is provided by the Friends of the Decatur Public Library.
Families interested in attending are encouraged to arrive any time between 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. to join in the activities and meet Santa and Mrs. Claus during the 5:00–6:00 p.m. arrival window. Library staff note that children may join the event at any point during the time slot.
