December 8, 2025 – Local active and retired military and their families have a unique opportunity to meet award-winning filmmaker Jake Rademacher and experience his powerful new documentary Brothers After War during a free movie screening and seminar on Friday, December 13, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at AMC Theatres in Mt. Zion.

The event is free to attend, but seating is limited, and attendees must reserve a spot in advance.

Rademacher, known for his deeply personal storytelling and his earlier film Brothers at War, will guide participants through an exclusive look at the new documentary, which follows American servicemembers and their families as they navigate life after deployment. The seminar will include behind-the-scenes insight, discussions about the challenges veterans face, and the healing power of shared experiences.

BROTHERS AFTER WAR reconnects Jake Rademacher with his brothers and the elite Soldiers and Marines he embedded with during the Iraq War. Intercutting footage past and present, he leads us on an insightful, humorous, and moving journey as we watch service members explore loss, meaning, and hope on their path from warfighter to veteran.

The program is presented in partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation, which continues its mission to honor and support America’s defenders, veterans, and their families.
