February 8, 2026 –Decatur is once again preparing to host Night to Shine, a special prom‑style celebration for individuals with special needs, scheduled for Friday, February 13, 2026. The event will take place from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at GT Church.

Night to Shine is part of a globally recognized initiative sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation that invites communities around the world to honor and celebrate people with special needs as “honored guests” with an unforgettable evening centered on belonging, respect, and joy.

Each guest walks the red carpet to a welcoming crowd before enjoying an evening of music, dancing, and fun activities. Local host churches tailor their own celebrations, but hallmark features typically include a red carpet welcome, dancing, photo opportunities, and a crowning ceremony in which every honored guest is recognized as royalty for the night.

In Decatur, the event is coordinated by GT Church in partnership with First Christian Church and Macon Resources, with volunteers helping ensure a memorable, inclusive experience for attendees and their families. Previous editions of the local event have drawn hundreds of volunteers and honored guests, reflecting the community’s strong support for the special needs community.
