Janaury 26, 2026 – Professional women’s tennis will return to Decatur this summer as the Robison Family continues its role as presenting sponsor of the Illinois Women’s Pro Tennis Championships.
The tournament is scheduled for June 8 through June 14, 2026, at the Fairview Tennis Complex and will continue the city’s long-running tradition of hosting professional tennis events.
The USTA Pro Circuit tournament is expected to feature approximately 70 players representing more than 20 countries. Competitors will vie for a $30,000 prize purse as well as Women’s Tennis Association world ranking points.
The Decatur Community Tennis Foundation will serve as the tournament organizer and will oversee sponsorship opportunities. Additional information about the event is available at illinoisprotennis.com.
The Decatur Community Tennis Foundation was established in 1985 to support tennis programs in the Decatur area. From 1999 through 2023, the foundation hosted a men’s professional tournament featuring ATP-ranked players. In 2025, the organization launched its first women’s professional tennis tournament, offering a $30,000 prize purse.
Proceeds from the tournament and additional donations help support tennis programming throughout the Decatur community, including youth and adult programs, schools, and maintenance of the Fairview Tennis Complex.
