February 24, 2026 – Eisenhower High School will host a Black History Month Art Exhibition on Thursday, February 26, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the school, located at 1200 South 16th Street.

The event will highlight student creativity and artistic expression while honoring the legacy and contributions of Black artists and leaders.

The evening will feature a live poetry performance by Aubrey Barnes of Rock Island, a nationally recognized poet and writer, as well as a live DJ set by Antonio Burton, also known as “Tony Picasso.” Student artwork will be on display and available for purchase.

Organizers say the exhibition provides an opportunity for the community to support young artists and celebrate the arts in Decatur.
