February 25. 2026 –Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois has recognized McDonald’s – West Eldorado as its 2025 Round-Up Champion after the restaurant raised $16,411 to support families with children receiving medical care.

The West Eldorado location ranked first among 100 McDonald’s restaurants across Central Illinois participating in the McDonald’s Round-Up for RMHC program. The initiative invites customers to round up their purchase total to the nearest dollar, with the difference donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Officials say the Decatur community’s participation, combined with the efforts of the West Eldorado team, led to the record-setting total. Funds raised through the Round-Up program stay local and help provide overnight accommodations, meals and support for families traveling for a child’s hospital care.

In addition to the store’s recognition, Andy Birschbach was named the 2025 Round-Up Champ. As the Owner/Operator with the highest store average in 2025, Birschbach was recognized for leadership and engagement in promoting the fundraising effort among employees and customers.

“Round-Up is such a simple way for people to make a difference,” said Amber Kaylor, CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois. “The West Eldorado team and Andy Birschbach exemplify what’s possible when a store fully embraces the mission. Their efforts will directly support families who need to stay close to their hospitalized child.”

Organizers say community support remains critical to sustaining services for families across Central Illinois.
