February 26, 2026 – Macon County Clerk’s Office is seeking Republican election judges to serve in the March 17, 2026 General Primary Election.
Election judges play a key role in ensuring polling places operate smoothly and voters are assisted throughout Election Day.
To qualify, individuals must be registered voters. Judges are required to attend a two-hour training session prior to the election, help set up their assigned polling place on the Monday before Election Day, and work the full day on Election Day — from approximately 5:00 a.m. until after polls close at 7:00 p.m. and ballots are returned to the County Clerk’s Office.
Election judges are appointed to a two-year term and are paid $200 for their service.
Those interested in serving are encouraged to contact the Macon County Clerk’s Office at 217-424-1305 as soon as possible.
