March 24, 2026 – The 170th Annual Macon County Fair will take place June 1–7 at the Macon County Fairgrounds, 3700 N. Westlawn Ave. in Decatur.

Fair officials announced the event has been extended by two additional days this year to accommodate more grandstand programming.

Headlining the 2026 grandstand schedule is country artist Bayker Blankenship, who will perform Thursday, June 4. The grandstand opens at 6 p.m., with the concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person.

Blankenship, 21, has gained national attention with his debut single “Maxed Out,” which earned RIAA Gold certification within nine months and reached No. 2 on Spotify’s Viral Charts. In 2024, he released “Younger Years,” which surpassed 4 million streams in its first week.

Additional grandstand events include:

  • Downstate Classic Harness Racing on Monday, June 1

  • Illinois Standardbred Harness Racing on Tuesday, June 2

  • The Macon County Queen Pageant on Wednesday, June 3

The Little Miss Pageant begins at 6 p.m., followed by the Junior Miss and Queen Pageant at 7:15 p.m. Fair officials noted that in the past five years, three Macon County Queens have placed in the top 15 at the state level.

The schedule continues with the rodeo on Friday, June 5 at 6 p.m., the ITPA Truck and Tractor Pull on Saturday, June 6 at 6 p.m., and the Demolition Derby on Sunday, June 7. The Power Wheels event begins at 5 p.m., followed by the derby at 6 p.m.

Applications are now being accepted for the Dallas E. Beyer Scholarship. Two $500 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors planning to pursue studies in an agricultural field. Applications are available on the fair’s website.
