ImpactLife to Host Multiple Community Blood Drives Across Central Illinois

March 31, 2026— ImpactLife is partnering with local organizations to host a series of community blood drives in Decatur and Niantic throughout April.

The first drive is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Decatur Memorial Hospital, located at 2300 North Edward Street. Donations will take place in Classroom C.

A second drive will be held Friday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sangamon Valley High School, located at 398 North Illinois Street, inside the gym.

A third drive is planned for Thursday, April 16, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at City of Decatur, located at One Gary K. Anderson Plaza. Donations will be accepted on the convention floor.

Appointments are requested for all drives. Donors can schedule online through ImpactLife’s website using code 60703 for the Decatur Memorial Hospital drive, 61447 for the Sangamon Valley High School drive, and 60852 for the City of Decatur drive. Appointments may also be made by phone through local contacts or by calling ImpactLife directly.

To be eligible, donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with parental consent, weigh at least 110 pounds, and present a valid photo ID. Individuals who last donated blood on or before Feb. 10 are eligible for the April 7 drive, those who donated on or before Feb. 13 may participate in the April 10 drive, and those who donated on or before Feb. 19 are eligible for the April 16 drive. Individuals with controlled diabetes or high blood pressure may also be eligible.

The donation process typically takes between 45 minutes and one hour.

ImpactLife is a nonprofit organization that supplies blood products and services to more than 100 hospitals and emergency medical providers across Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Wisconsin. Donors may receive a reward, including an e-gift card, a charitable donation option, or points redeemable through the organization’s online donor rewards store.
