April 2, 2026 – The Decatur Police Department has launched a new online tool designed to give residents access to police activity across the city.
The platform, called Citizen Connect, replaces the department’s previous website and allows users to view incidents and cases through an interactive map.
The system is connected to the regional dispatch center and lets users search activity by date, type, and location. General details such as incident type, date, and time are available, along with links to obtain crash reports.
Officials say exact addresses are not shown for privacy and safety reasons, and information is delayed to protect active scenes.
Certain sensitive incidents are also excluded from the system.
Citizen Connect is now available through the City of Decatur’s website HERE.
