May 19, 2026 – The Decatur Running Club will host the annual Rock Springs Ramble on June 6, featuring a timed 5K race and a children’s fun run at Rock Springs Conservation Area.
The Kids Ramble for children ages 10 and under will begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by the timed 5K race at 8 a.m. The start and finish line for both events will be located at the east parking lot along the trail.
According to organizers, the paved course will follow an out-and-back route, with a water station available along the course for runners.
Proceeds from the event help fund club activities and support youth running programs throughout the Decatur area.
The 5K race will be hand-timed by the Decatur Running Club and will not use race bibs. Race-day registration will also be available for participants.
All runners will receive a finisher medal and a hand-painted commemorative rock. Age group awards for the 5K will be presented in categories beginning with ages 10 and under, followed by five-year increments through ages 75 and older.
Race T-shirts will also be available for purchase.
Participants in the Kids Ramble will receive a finisher’s award following the event.
Organizers said Athletico will provide post-race stretching services, and a post-race party and awards presentation will follow the completion of the races.
