May 27, 2026 – The Macon County Conservation Foundation will host the second annual Wine in the Wild fundraising event on Saturday, June 13 at Woodbine Farm outside Dalton City.

This year’s event also marks the Foundation’s 45th anniversary and will highlight ongoing conservation efforts across Macon County. Guests will gather at 5:30 p.m. for an evening of food, beverages, games, and entertainment in an outdoor setting.

The program will include dinner service, live music featuring a song written specifically for the event, a Chautauqua-style reenactment, updates on district projects, and both silent and live auctions. Attendees will also have access to Woodbine Farm’s historic barn, which the Macon County Conservation District plans to convert into programming space and an event venue, as well as a newly constructed pavilion with conceptual designs for a future courtyard.

The event is 21 and older and will feature a cash bar. Organizers say proceeds will directly support conservation initiatives and educational programming across the district’s natural areas and preserves.

Sponsorship opportunities remain available, and organizers encourage community members and businesses to participate in supporting local conservation efforts through the fundraiser.
