June 4, 2026 -Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate community spirit and the nation’s 250th birthday during Forsyth Fest 2026, scheduled for June 19 and 20 in Forsyth.
The annual festival will kick off Friday evening with a variety of family-friendly activities beginning at 5 p.m., including inflatables, face painting, a photo booth, food trucks and a beer garden. Live music by the Blue Rock Band is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
Festivities continue Saturday with the community parade stepping off at 10 a.m. Organizers have planned a full day of activities, including a zipline, petting zoo, vendor marketplace, bingo, a bags tournament and a mechanical bull. Live entertainment by Kapital Sound is scheduled for Saturday evening, followed by a fireworks display at dusk.
This year’s celebration carries special significance as communities across the country mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Village officials are encouraging residents to come together to celebrate both the nation’s history and the community traditions that have made Forsyth Fest a summer favorite.
The annual event draws families from throughout Macon County and Central Illinois and serves as one of the Village of Forsyth’s largest community gatherings of the year.
Admission to Forsyth Fest is free, with food, beverages and some activities available for purchase.
