June 30, 2026 – Beginning Tuesday, July 1, the Macon County Health Department will offer walk-in blood draw services, providing residents with a convenient option for laboratory specimen collection without an appointment.

The new service is designed to make it easier for community members to complete laboratory testing ordered by their healthcare provider close to home.

Services will include routine laboratory specimen collection, provider-ordered blood work and a variety of laboratory testing options performed in a professional and confidential setting.

Health department officials say the expanded service is part of the agency’s ongoing commitment to improving access to healthcare and supporting the health and well-being of Macon County residents.

A complete list of available laboratory tests is available on the Macon County Health Department’s website.
