August 20, 2026 – Decatur Pride will host Ride or Pride 2026 on Saturday, September 12, bringing a full day of Pride celebrations, entertainment and activities to Fairview Park.
The event begins at 11 a.m. at the Fairview Park Pavilion and will feature live entertainment, music, games, food trucks, vendors and activities for families throughout the day.
A Pet Parade and Contest is scheduled for 11:30 a.m., with check-in at 11:15. Categories include Best Pet in Pride Gear, Owner and Pet Complementing Outfits and Cutest Pet. Organizers say pets do not have to be present to compete in the Cutest Pet category, as printed photos can be displayed.
A Family-Friendly Drag Show is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the pavilion.
The day will also include the finals of The Voice of Decatur, a local singing competition. Contestants will have three opportunities to qualify, with auditions scheduled for August 27 and 28 from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Lock Stock & Barrel and September 1 from 8 to 10 p.m. at Port Royale. Participants should sign up 15 minutes before the audition with one karaoke or YouTube song selection. Finalists will compete for a cash prize during the Decatur Pride celebration at Fairview Park on September 12, with the competition beginning at 5:30 p.m. and contestant check-in at 5:15.
Decatur Pride will also host RuPaul’s Drag Race season 12 contestant The Widow Von’ Du at Fairview Park from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on September 12.
The celebration will continue after the daytime festivities with Pride After Dark at Port Royale Gastropub beginning at 9 p.m. The event is for those 21 and older.
Organizers are encouraging residents to mark September 12 as a day to celebrate Pride, community and inclusion at Fairview Park.
