August 23, 2026 – Nominating petitions will be available beginning Tuesday, August 25, for candidates seeking election to the Richland Community College Board of Trustees.
Two full six-year terms will be on the ballot in the April 6, 2027 election. The seats are currently held by Maryann Albers and Vicki Carr.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old, and residents of Illinois and the Richland Community College District for at least one year immediately preceding the election.
Petitions may be circulated beginning August 25. Nominating papers must be filed with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees between November 16 and November 23.
Candidates must also file a Statement of Economic Interest with the Macon County Clerk’s Office and submit the receipt to the Board Secretary by 4 p.m. November 23.
Petitions are available by appointment from the Office of the Secretary of the Board of Trustees in Room N155 at Richland Community College, 1 College Park in Decatur. Petitions can also be obtained electronically.
