August 26, 2026 – The Decatur Police Department welcomed three new recruits to the Decatur Police Department during a swearing in ceremony Wednesday in the City Council Chambers.
The new patrol officers include Luke Hall, Uriel Robledo, and Gideon Williams.
The Officers will begin their basic training at the Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center (MCLETC) which will last 16 weeks. After training, they will return to DPD for a 5-month in-service field training program.
